Biography

Aleida Castro was born in 1993 in Lynwood, California. Her family relocated to Las Vegas, where she grew up and continues to live. She attended Northwest Career and Technical Academy. After graduating in 2011, she attended and received her Associate of Arts in Secondary Education from the College of Southern Nevada. She then transferred to the University of Las Vegas, Nevada, and graduated with a Bachelor’s of English in 2017. Aleida took fundamental art courses while attending CSN. After graduating, she continued to work on her art and took part in “Digital Love Art and Tech”, a local group exhibition in 2022, which was shown at the Winchester-Dondero Cultural Center Gallery. Since then, she has facilitated art workshops at the Las Vegas Science and Natural History Museum, the Discovery Children’s Museum, and various community centers in Las Vegas. In 2025, Aleida was added to the Nevada Arts Council Teaching Artists roster. She has decided to return to school to earn a Master of Fine Arts to become a professor
